Exhibition Invitation — “Layers of Re-iteration”

Remembering Galen Brown & Jim McCormick

Layers of Re-iteration exhibition reception is this Saturday 1-4pm

at Sierra Arts Gallery, 17S Virginia St, Reno, Nevada 89501

We are pleased to invite you to Layers of Re-iteration: Remembering Galen Brown & Jim McCormick, an exhibition that honors the artistic legacies and lasting influence of two pivotal Nevada artists.

Curated by Candace Garlock and Frances Melhop, this exhibition brings together members of the Printmakers’ Conspiracy, a collective founded in 2006 to advance the appreciation of the art of printmaking in Nevada. Participating artists have created new works in dialogue with the practices, artwork and philosophies of Brown and McCormick—two figures whose integrity, technical mastery, and community spirit profoundly shaped the region’s creative landscape.

Layers of Re-iteration reflects on the ways artistic relationships and shared histories continue to inform and renew contemporary practice.

We invite you to join us in celebrating the enduring impact of these artists and the community they helped to cultivate.

We look forward to seeing you Saturday!
